A hands-on session to learn basic massage techniques to use at home.
Chris Shakallis is a skilled massage therapist with 30 years clinical experience.
He will be conducting a 2-session course on how to apply some massage techniques for your partner or friends to help relieve neck, shoulder & back tension.
Chris has taught basic to advanced massage to hundreds of students at Nature Care College. He is currently undergoing Iyengar yoga teacher training at BIYS.
The course will run over two 2.5-hour sessions.
The course will feature hands-on, practical sessions where you will learn step-by-step fundamental skills needed to help relieve body stress & tension.
Each participant will give and receive a treatment during the course.
– Seated massage techniques
– Techniques for legs & feet
– Techniques for neck, shoulders & back
– Skills that require no equipment
All equipment and materials will be provided.
The course will run over 2 weekends:
Saturday 14 March 3.00 – 5.30 PM
Saturday 21 March 3.00 – 5.30 PM
Attendance on both days is included in the price of the course.
The course will be held in the main hall at the Balmain Iyengar Yoga Studio.
